We are excited to announce that ZVRS and Purple Communications are being recognized for the second year in a row as the “best place to work” after scoring a 100 on the 2021 Disability Equality Index (DEI)! The DEI is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:IN.
The DEI survey evaluates our disability inclusion efforts in the areas of culture, leadership, enterprise-wide access, employment practices and community engagement. One of the efforts that influenced our DEI score is the employment of Deaf and hard of hearing team members who represent 72% of our non-interpreter workforce.
Our goal is to provide a place where everyone is welcome and where inclusion is at the core of what we do and who we are.
Our CEO Sherri Turpin believes the passion and commitment of our employees to bridging two worlds is the epitome of our success and that creating an inclusive environment that contributes to our strength as a company.
The DEI recognition would not have been possible without the contributions and efforts of many people across our company.

Are You IN?
Our CEO Sherri Turpin joined other CEOs who are partners of Disability: IN on their “Are You IN?” campaign. As a part of the forthcoming 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disability Act celebration, the goal of this campaign is to invite other companies who are not partners of this organization to join us in launching actions to advance disability inclusion for the next 31 years!
